2. How can I Upgrade from a Previous Edition to Family Book Creator 2024?
Family Book Creator 2024 is a new spin on the program that uses its own license key. Users of FBC that purchased a license to FBC either in 2024 or 2025 can renew their license to FBC 2024 without charge. This applies that serial numbers printed after 1 January 2024 have already been used as a valid serial number to FBC 2024!
In case you have ordered your existing FBC serial number before the year 2024, then you must order a new license with FBC 2024 or stay with FBC 2019. We might also have a compliment; with our Gift Collection – please note that you are a customer in the United States, whether you are out of the country or living there, you need to make a distinction between the two countries when choosing the links.
3. I’m New to Family Book Creator, Where Can I Buy it?

4. What Languages are Available in Family Book Creator?
By default, the Family Book Creator is written in English, although you can select the User Interface Language dropdown on the General tab and set it to either Swedish or German when using the plugin. The book output itself can be in any of several languages, such as Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish.
Choose the dropdown on the General tab of the plugin on the dropdown of the Output language. It is important to take note that the only element that is changed is the language of the created text elements. Family Book Creator does not translate information typed in by the user into what is in the description fields and notes.
5. What Editions of Family Tree Maker are Supported by Family Book Creator?
The FTM 2017, 2019 and 2024 are compatible with Family Book Creator 2024 on Windows 10 and FTM 2019 and 2024 on Mac. The entire information on compatibility can be found in the reference article given herewith.
6. Which Version (build) of Family Book Creator is the Latest One?
Build 2527 is the most recent version of Family Book Creator that can be used in Windows and Build 2511 is the latest released magazine in Mac. 8. How do I Install and Activate Family Book Creator?
Register to get the Family Book Creator newsletter and you also get the link to the download area via email. Alternatively, you can go here, should you have subscribed to the newsletter. There is no need to say how to download and run an installer, but upon doing so, create mini apps. You should start Family Tree Maker, open Family Tree of your choice, and then navigate to the Tools menu and in it, to plugin, and select Family Book Creator. (see below example).
You will be asked to confirm the Name, Place, Email and Serial Number of the order confirmation email that you received when you initially bought the software.
